About Shri Shri Maha Vishnu Dham

A pilgrimage to the Shri Shri Maha Vishnu Dham is considered to be one of the holiest pilgrimages. In the year 1922 some eminent personalities of the society start the Maha Vishnu Yajña . Since the inception every year in the Purnima Tithi of the month Chaita of Assamese calendar(In the month of March-April in English Calender) Maha Vishnu Yajña Mahotsav has been celebrating in the Yajña Dham. At the time of Yajña Mahotsav Hawan, Pujan of Mahabrabhu Mahavishnu are done with a five days long programme. The Yajña Dham attracts thousands of devotees in this period every year. There is Folklore that the devotee who take the darshana of Mahavishnu and pray him with holy heart his all wishes are full fill by the Lord Vishnu.

About Barnarddi

Barnarddi village is located in the western part of Nalbari district of Assam. This historical village has several of the oldest religious institutions in Assam. It is worth mentioning that Sri Sri Mahavishnu Yogya Dham is the oldest Durga Puja in Assam which has been held in the middle neighborhood of Barnarddi village since about 300 years ago. The ancient Sri Sri Gochal Gosai Ghar, which has not been destroyed in the past, is located on the banks of Satirkur in this village. There are also famous religious places in Barnarddi like the Durga and Manasa Temples in Hatkhola and the Barnarddi Ganesh Temple.

Sri Sri Mahavishnu Yajña is the Karmic worship of the Creator of the universe- the “Supreme Person”, the embodiment of all natural forces. Mahavishnu is the Supreme God, the Supreme Brahman existing as the life force of all living things. He is the “spirituality” of all the universal elements mentioned in the “Song”. Let us worship Mahavishnu with all positive actions for universal good, peace & prosperity.



Donation

Offerings and donation are the mainstay of the income of the Yajña Dham Committee. The donation offered by the pilgrims and devotee are utilized for the creation of infrastructural facilities of the visiting pilgrims as well as for the general maintenance of the Yajña DHAM.Donation towards the Yajña DHAM can be made either in cash or through demand drafts or cheques. Devotees can make the cash donation in the office of the Dham. A donation receipt will be issued to the devotee instantly. For Cheque or draft mode the instruments of payment should be made in favor of “SRI SRI MAHAVISHNU YAJÑA SAMITTEE”. Cheque/Draft through post may send to the following address a receipt will be send to such devotees by speed post after receiving their donation/offerings. Devotees are requested to provide full address detail alongwith Pincode, email id and Phone number(s) etc for despatching Donation Receipt.

In-kind donations include a variety of materials that are used for various developmental and other purposes. These include construction products such as cement, bricks and tiles, electrical products such as bulbs, tubes, inverters, iron grill products.

Contribution for Yajña

jewellery, Coins, Gamosha (A traditional Assamese wearing) which are donated by the devotees after having darshans. All such offerings are to be deposited in the office of the Mahavishnu Yajña Sammittee. Gamoshae etc. are also accepted here. Devotees who wish to offer larger ornaments can also deposit the same at the Office . The larger ornaments are preserved and offered at the feet of Mahavishnu on a rotational basis.
